QlikView to Qlik Cloud migration

Know what moves, before it moves.

IntelliWarp reads your QlikView documents, prices the move and converts them to Qlik Cloud: sheets, objects, load scripts and data, in three steps. Discover, estimate, migrate.

IntelliWarp Scan

For QlikView

Know what moves, before it moves.

IntelliWarp Scan reads what your QlikView documents are made of (sheets, objects, variables, load scripts and data sources) into one small archive for our assessment of a move to Qlik Cloud.

We don't see or move your data. IntelliWarp Scan opens each document without its data and changes nothing. Passwords in the load scripts are replaced with *** on your computer, and it sends nothing until you choose to upload or email the archive.

01 · Activation

Get an activation

IntelliWarp Scan runs only with an activation token, so request it first: fill in the form and the token arrives by email within a few minutes, valid for 30 days. Use your company email address. Each department of a company can have its own activation: name yours in the form. The download is below (04).

02 · The archive

What leaves your computer

  • For each document: its path and size, the sheets and objects (their kind and counts, not their content), the variable names (not their values), the load script and the macro module as text, and the size of QlikView's export
  • Not the data, field values, expressions, captions, layout or colours: the record of a typical document is a few kilobytes
  • Passwords in a load script (Password=, PWD=, XPassword, the Section Access table) are replaced with *** before the archive is written. The user id, server and database stay, so we can list the connections to set up. The scan log counts what was masked, never the value
  • The archive is a plain ZIP: open it and read it before you send it

03 · Requirements

What it needs

  • Windows, on a computer where QlikView Desktop is installed and licensed
  • Read access to the folders that hold the QlikView documents
  • No internet access to scan; the result can be uploaded or sent by email

IntelliWarp Migrate

QlikView to Qlik Cloud

From QlikView to Qlik Cloud.

IntelliWarp Migrate converts QlikView documents into Qlik Sense apps and deploys them to your Qlik Cloud tenant: sheets and objects, variables, load scripts and data files, through one processing queue you run on your own computer or server.

Free 14-day trial. Migrate 3 documents with every feature, no payment. Request a trial key

01 · What you get

Apps people can use from day one

  • Ready for Qlik Answers. Qlik's AI assistant answers questions through an app's master items. IntelliWarp Migrate builds them from each document, named with the labels your people already use, described with the document's own comments, and linked from the charts, so the AI and the sheets agree. Date fields are checked for their date tags, and the technical fields can be hidden from Qlik Answers.
  • Sheets fitted to the screen. Keep each sheet as designed, lay it out the Qlik Sense way with every object sized for what it shows, or arrange it by hand in the Sheet Designer.
  • Data files moved with the app. The files the load script reads are uploaded and the script is rewritten to read them; wildcard loads become loops, and an unchanged file is not uploaded twice.
  • Your own storage. Data files go to the app's space, a shared space, or your Amazon S3, Azure Storage, Google Cloud Storage, Google Drive, OneDrive or SharePoint.
  • Section Access kept. Never removed or weakened: converted with an identity mapping you approve, and each app checked before anyone else can open it.
  • Nothing to guess. A report lists every object as converted, skipped or failed, and every migration can be rolled back.

02 · Requirements

What it needs

  • Windows, with QlikView Desktop installed and licensed for the account that runs IntelliWarp Migrate
  • Read access to the QlikView documents and the data files their load scripts read
  • A Qlik Cloud tenant, and an API key of a user who may create spaces and apps there
  • A IntelliWarp Migrate license key: start with a free 14-day trial (3 documents, every feature), or ask for a quote

Try it on the demo document

IntelliWarp Conversion Demo is a QlikView document built for a first migration: seven sheets with the chart types, tables, containers, selections and variables a real application has, its data in CSV, Excel and QVD files, two include files and a master item curation file. Extract the zip into a folder of its own and follow "Start Here: The Demo Document" in the Help tab of IntelliWarp Migrate.

IntelliWarp Migrate migrates this document free of charge: it does not count against a license or a trial.
